A glimpse into my world.

Hi! My name is Noah Wisniewski.

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to create. Whether it was filming home videos or doodling Pokémon in my notebook, my brain was always turning with ideas. As a working professional creative, I strive to showcase my innovative mind through my art and editing style that my younger self would feel proud of. I feel the most fulfilled in life storytelling through my work, and I am always seeking new opportunities to expand my creative skillset.

As a kid who loved music, doing theatre in middle school was the first true art form where I learned to express myself. It gave me a voice that projected into my confidence, and I attribute that to a big part of who I am today. In the transition to high school, I picked up my first DSLR camera which unlocked a more technical side of myself that I was able to tap into, sparking the creative voice that I always wanted to lean into, but wasn’t quite sure how. From portraits to scenic photos, I grew my skillset and eventually started to tap into the videography world as well starting a YouTube channel in 2016.

Capturing not only artistic shots, but memories became an everyday thing for me, and the pivot to go to college for something in the creative field was quite natural. I went to Bowling Green State University in Ohio from 2017 - 2021 and achieved my Bachelor of Science in Technology, with a degree in “Visual Communication Technology.” Visual Communication Technology, or VCT, was the perfect cross-media combo of photography, videography, interactive media, and print that I didn’t realize at the time would have such an impact on me. It was during these 4 years I truly leaned into my creative side, and found myself in ways I only dreamed of. Focusing on photography and videography tracks with certain classes in social media marketing, my skillset and aesthetic broadened as I navigated class projects, and my own personal endeavors. It was at this point my YouTube took off to 10,000 subscribers and I worked with the marketing team on campus which will always be a highlight.

I partook in 2 internships during this period, the first teaching students Photoshop and video editing at the campus library, and then working for “Dental Advisor” a dental consultant company as a creative assistant. Both of these positions helped push my skillset to attain the internship requirements for graduation. After a COVID senior year, I finally received my degree and set off to the west coast which had always been a dream of mine. I had family living in Oregon and wanted to give it a go, so I did a 5 day road trip, stayed with them on an 18-acre ranch, and lived the farm life for a year. During this period I got my first out-of-college creative position as a Social Media Manager. This position helped me push my boundaries creatively as I was managing 5 different clients, building an influencer database, filming commercials and Amazon videos, and shooting different projects.

After taking a year off and moving back home to Michigan for some personal family issues, I was ready to put my feet back in the water with something new. An old friend from high school reached out to me in need of a video editor / social media manager for a podcast she had been working on for about 6 months. I was hesitant at first as I hadn’t done anything creative in a minute, but diving back into my roots was exactly what I needed to ignite the fire inside of me. “Not From Here” continues to grow, and editing long-form podcast episodes as well as short clips for social media has been one of my favorite career moments so far.

On a similar avenue, a friend reached out needing a social media manager for her agency, and I was ready to take another step in the right direction. Lexi from “The Creator Code” has been a fantastic leader, and managing “Destination Weddings,” planning their feeds, creating stories, and writing captions have been such a privilege.

I am so fortunate to be in the position I am today from all my past experiences, and I am always looking forward to the new endeavors that arise in my creative journey. I’ve learned that even in my lowest lows, creating and storytelling have been a comfort for me, and I will always strive to better the artistic version of myself in all I do.

Here’s to all the past versions of myself, and all the versions I have yet to see!
